Are You Making This Mistake In Your Fitness Business?

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Hi Folks,

I had a very frustrating experience on the long weekend and it made me think of the Fitness Businesses that might be making the same mistake.

I was driving with my fiancé’ (after 7 years we think we are ready), and our beautiful ‘Goldie’ Pickles, to a campsite in the hills surrounding Perth. We chose this place because it is close to a river and we thought we might need a dip because it was forecast to be 40 degrees! We had a very nice 50 minute drive before we reached the turnoff to the campsite. Pickles was frothing at the mouth because she could smell the bush (animals) and was excited to get out there amongst it.

In W.A it is a real challenge to camp with a dog as most caravan parks don’t allow them or they have to be tied up all the time and the campsites are often in National Parks so they are ‘no go’ zones for pets. That’s why we had specifically chosen Gooralong Campsite because it is dog friendly.

This is where it got ugly? As we pulled in to the turnoff, there was a solid steel boom gate across the track… Locked! We had a crack at opening it without success, so we headed back to the town of Jarrahdale to find out what was going on. The simple, short reply was that “it’s closed”. That’s it. We ended up, after checking out some other skanky campsites, going home feeling frustrated and ripped off.

Now here is my point:

How many of us as Fitness Businesses are available for our Potential Clients (prospects) when ‘they’ want to contact us, or even better, use our services? I know from my experience that a lot of us don’t have systems in place to capture the contact details of say a ‘walk in’ or someone who has gone to the website, couldn’t find what they wanted in the first 30 seconds, so went somewhere else. I know when it was just me in the business, I would close for a couple of hours from 12 to 3pm - how many people did I miss talking to etc. because I was closed?

I learn’t a very valuable saying when I was involved with another company, “The Fortune Is In The Follow-Up!” Not a truer word has been spoken, especially in our industry where the personal touch is crucial. When you have effective systems in your fitness business every lead gets followed up quickly and efficiently and you maximise all of your marketing.

Do you have the systems in place to handle every enquiry quickly?

Are you running a real fitness business that can operate without you?

If you want to check out some done-for-you systems and tools, then go to our new web store at

Look forward to helping you take your business to the next level.

Big Lesson From Marketers Of The Year

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Hey all,
Net Profit Explosion, our US counterparts, recently won the Glazer-Kennedy Info-Marketers of the Year for 2008 - including a trip to Disneyland for a private consultation with Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer.

I’m not sure how many info-marketers applied to compete in the contest, but I imagine there were dozens, if not hundreds.
Dan Kennedy is the godfather of info-marketing, and winning this prize is very special. Not because the competition is brutal - all the top info marketers in the world are Kennedy “proteges” - but more so, at least for us, because it’s an important kind of validation of all NPE’s hard work and commitment to doing business the right way… putting you, the fitness professional and customer, first.

I want to share with you how Sean and Eric were able to win the most prestigious award in the marketing industry, because there’s a very big lesson in it for you.

These are NPE’s rules for success, and FFP follows the same principles:

  • Do not approach anything in a half-baked way. This is serious business, after all.
  • Strategically and tactically plan your business, including as much detail as possible.
  • Meet regularly, on a schedule, and review relentlessly, looking for ways to improve.
  • Model the most successful businesses out there, regardless of niche or industry.
  • Focus on a MULTI-MEDIA approach (not just the internet).
  • Install systems and coaching that ensure customers consume, implement and get results from our products (we don’t leave anyone behind).
  • Develop a mastermind community. We care about each and every one of our customers and Members, we go the extra mile to support and help them, and we encourage them to take an active role supporting and helping their peers.
  • Put multiple marketing “poles in the water” so we have new leads flowing to us every day.
  • Establish win-win strategic alliances and leverage them.
  • Find and hire the best staff, and outsource the rest to the highest quality providers.
  • Invest heavily in ongoing education. And apply what we learn.
  • Leverage technology.
  • Systemise everything.

And because of all that, we get results, not just for ourselves, but for our customers and Members also. For you.

You may think, “well, that’s interesting, but you and NPE are info-marketers and I’m a bricks-n-mortar business owner.”

Doesn’t matter. And that’s the BIG lesson here.

What we do in our business - at the core level - is the same as what you do in yours.

NPE is the best in their market at this, proven by their win… And it’s FFP’s job to provide it all to the Australian and NZ market. Later in 2009, FFP will be showing you precisely how to get big-time results, by following the Fitness Business Blueprint. Keep an eye out for it..

Hope you had a great long weekend and Australia Day!

Very Happy Campers…

Monday, January 19th, 2009

In the past week we’ve received emails from THREE Auto-Closer graduates from our FastTrack December class, and they’re all very happy campers.

Now, for our December Auto-Closer class, we had to squash six weeks worth of sales coaching into three weeks, just before Christmas! So everyone had half the time to learn and practice the system. Plus, they would’ve been busy as ever with all their Christmas shopping and holiday preparations.

But, as we expected, our dedicated students have made some big changes and achieved serious results. Here’s what they had to say..

“This month we have written $18,201 so far, and it’s only the 19th! Not only that, but it’s only our second month of trading… In December we wrote $1,321. We cannot believe it!! Thanks guys. Auto-Closer is awesome.” - Carly, Fit Girls Personal Training, SA

“Just a quick hello, and to let you and the Fit For Profit team know that I sold my first 100 session pack this morning. I’m so pumped. Thank you! I followed the Auto-Closer system and offered up the 75 and 100 sessions (for the first time ever) and Pat went with the 100. My best package sold to date was only 20 sessions and I thought that was awesome at the time.
Thanks again”- Matt Zenner. Zenfit Personal Training, VIC

“I’d like to say thanks for talking me into buying your program! In the 3rd week of starting the program (before even finishing the course) I sold over $17,000 in PT. I run a mobile service so I think it’s even more impressive.” - Mikolay, Fitness2You, NSW

Say no more. We have an awesome, very limited offer on this month. 30% off the program. If you want to join these guys in their jubilation, visit the site below:

Hope to see you on the next course, starting 27th January!

Show Your Prospects ‘What They Get’

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

So we’ve been talking about fitness sales the last couple weeks, and one of the most important components of every sale is showing your prospects…

… “what they get.”

There are many important components of a good presentation, but here are just a few:

- Present your ‘process’. Personal training services are often confusing and misunderstood by many.

People just don’t understand what they are really buying and how it works. And that’s why it’s VERY important you demonstrate a clear step-by-step process of how you will help your prospects solve their problems and achieve their goals.

- Show ’social proof’. One of the most important things you can do is show proof that your services or program works! Amazingly, enough people just don’t do this justice. Share before/after photos, stories, videos, whatever you can to demonstrate that your program is real and delivers.

- Use ‘risk reversal’. An important component of every sale is to remove any fear your prospect has of making a bad decision.

People are afraid that they’ll make a bad investment, and things won’t work out. However irrational this fear may be doesn’t matter. It’s there. And you better address it as a sales professional if you want to be successful in closing the sale.

How do you do this? Simple. You can eliminate this fear by using a strong guarantee to reverse the risk in the buying decision.

These are of course just a few components, but if you’d like to see Sean demonstrate the rest of them check out our last fitness sales training video in this series at:

http://fitforprofit.homestead.com/autocloser/acvideo3.html

He’ll show you exactly how it all works and ‘peel back the curtain’ for you on how we teach everything over here.

Then, make sure you register for our Auto-Closer Sales Explosion Webinar tomorrow at 1pm EST (Syd/Mel), and I’ll take you through the system LIVE.

Enjoy,

Ric

P.S. Our next AUTO-CLOSER class starts on Tuesday, 27th January, 2009 and we only have limited spots available. Make sure you attend our information webinar tomorrow for a special deal!

How to eliminate THE biggest obstacle to your success

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

If you watched Monday’s Sales System video you heard NPE’s Sean and Eric talk about how a sales system that works gives you confidence, and control over your life and your future.

In today’s video, Sean talks about a strategy for eliminating THE biggest obstacle to your fitness business success.

It’s a way of thinking and acting that creates an irresistible demand for your services.

It’s about your responsibility - your obligation - as a fitness professional, and how when you embrace that obligation…selling your services becomes almost as simple as tying your shoes.

You’ll hear Sean explain this powerful strategy, and how to utilise it at the two minute mark in this video (it’s not to be missed) here.

Then Sean and Eric talk about how you MUST make sure your “oxygen mask” is on FIRST; and you’ll hear a story about how one fit-pro went from 30K in the red to 30K in the black, a new BMW and a European honeymoon in the blink of an eye (plus the only real debt-elimination strategy that works).

It’s all on video for you here:

http://fitforprofit.homestead.com/autocloser/acvideo2.html

Go watch it now. You’ll be glad you did.

Ric Isaac

P.S. If you’re yet to use the Auto-Closer Sales System, be sure to register for our FREE AUTO-CLOSER Sales Explosion Webinar on Friday at 1pm EST (Syd/Mel):

My Nightmare start to the Year!

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Hi Folks,

What a bad start to the year I have had. Woke up on Monday 5th January feeling like a 90 year old man with a massive headache, dead tired with a high fever!

But wait…. this is the start of the busiest time of the year in my fitness business and my staff are waiting for the staff meeting, goals, targets etc and I am not there. What a nightmare!!

Now not all of you are in this position as you may not have staff but that is even worse for your business if it is just you. Now I don’t care what anyone says eventually we all get sick sooner or later (or we have other obstacles that stop us from physically being at work) and if we do not have systems in place then it can be catastrophic to our business and income.

I had to act fast so I rang my Manager at Fit For Health and informed her of the situation and referred her to our operational manual so that she knew what she needed to be doing with the clients and the staff. Sarah has just started as the Manager so she certainly needed some direction. Now we also had sales consultations booked in and I had not trained Sarah on the use of our Sales System…. Arrrgh!

This brings me to the point of this message, if you don’t have a systemised approach to all areas of your business you don’t have a business, just a very busy and risky JOB. If you cannot quickly and easily teach someone else to do what you do then you will be forever stuck in the rut of working mega hours (if you are actually making money) and never having the lifestyle we all desire.

As it was I was able to refer Sarah to the scripts from our Auto Closer Personal Training Sales System and she took them into the consultations and it worked like magic! We sat down yesterday morning and I asked her how it all went and she said “I can’t believe how easy it is, the woman just wanted our training and didn’t care how much it cost!”. Sarah did 3 consultations using the Auto Closer System last week and generated $6,170 in New Client Income, with a closing rate of 100%. Was I happy.. s#*t yeah! Was she happy…. very and it had boosted her confidence enormously. Now she can’t wait to pre-qualify more people over the phone and has another 2 booked in for this week.

My point here is that by having a System I was able to delegate tasks with confidence, assured that because everything was so scripted and systemised that anyone could follow it. Whether this is you and/or your staff having a Proven and Tested way to get massive sales and more importantly, give people what they want, which is the results you know you can help them to achieve. Being able to show people the value of your services is the key to getting committed, compliant clients who are happy to pay for your services and refer all of their friends and family.

To learn more about this awesome Personal Training Sales System make sure you attend the Free Webinar we are holding this Friday at 1pm EST. All you do is click on the link we will send you and voila, you will have access to this business and life changing information.

Remember, if you don’t have a Systemised approach to your business your business will never grow beyond you and, frankly, all you have is a very stressful job! If you want to go to the next level then click on the link below and explode your fitness business.

Committed to your business success

The most critical component of your business this year

Monday, January 12th, 2009

Hope you’ve had a great holiday.

We certainly did, and now it’s time to get back to
work!

Before they took a few days off last week, Eric and Sean sat
down and recorded several videos to share with you on
how to grow your business in the new year.

Whatever your goals are, I’m guessing they involve some
aspects of:

- Finding more clients, and helping more people improve
their health and fitness through your programs

- Growing the size of your business, income, and bank
account

- Getting the freedom that comes from owning a real
business, and not just a job

However you’ve defined your goals for the year ahead,
we thought we’d help you address…

…’First Things First’.

Without this key component working right in your
business, it’s VERY hard to get ANYTHING moving
forward.

And however it is (or isn’t) working right now, with
just a little ‘tune up’ you can dramatically change
your fortune the next several weeks.

What am I talking about?

Check out the video and find out here.

To your success,

Ric Isaac

P.S. There are 3 more videos coming in this series, and
as you’ll see we’re giving away some very ‘meaty’
content here that you can put to work right now in your
business. Check out the first installment here.

Be thankful

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

I have a serious addiction. And I need to feed it almost daily. You may have the same need.

If so, lemme share my drug of choice with you…

>> INSPIRATION <<

To me, there’s nothing else like the feeling of being passionately inspired. It’s the most empowering emotion. I feel like I can be and do anything, that my potential is limitless.

And that feeling propels me into action.

How about you? Got the same addiction?

Yeah? Great.

Then I want to share some powerfully inspirational words with you right now.

But before I do, I also want to remind you to ACT on your inspiration. Don’t just enjoy the buzz. You need to channel that rush of adrenaline, serotonin and endorphin into movement that manifests tangible results. Because movement beats meditation every time.

This time of year is probably the most inspirational of all for many people. It is for me. The promise of a new year beginning, a new opportunity to set ambitious goals, do and be more, and more fully realise our potential, lies just hours away.

If you haven’t done so yet, spend a few hours today writing down your goals for 2009 and the action steps for achieving them.

And I’d like to make a suggestion here, if you don’t mind…

One of your business goals MUST BE lead generation. Because lead generation marketing is THE activity, more so than
any other, that can give you the personal and financial freedom you want. Building a large, responsive “house list” of local people who know, like and trust you - and who will buy from you and refer to you - is the ultimate “difference-maker.” If I had to point to one thing that more radically changed my life than any other, it would be growing, nurturing and cultivating my list.

And nothing can help you do that - nothing can channel your inspiration and motivation into decisive and productive action better than our DEEP-CORE Fitness Marketing System.

Now, on to the inspirational words I promised you.

Here are some of my favorite quotes, worthy of printing and posting to your office wall, your bathroom mirror and anywhere else you will see them every single day:

>> INSPIRATIONAL WORDS <<

“Dream no small dreams, for they have no power to move the hearts of men.” - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

“Thought is the blossom; language the bud; action the fruit behind it.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” - William Arthur Ward

“Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal. My strength lies solely in my tenacity.” - Louis Pasteur

“Goals provide the energy source that powers our lives. One of the best ways we can get the most from the energy we have is to focus it. That is what goals can do for us; concentrate our energy.” - Denis Waitley

“He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.” - Friedrich Nietzsche

“If you don’t know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else.” - Yogi Berra

“The major reason for setting a goal is for what it makes of YOU to accomplish it. What it makes of you will always be the far greater value than what you get.” - Jim Rohn

“You will become as great as your dominant aspiration.” - James Allen

“Man, alone, has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality; man, alone, can dream and make his dreams come true.” - Napoleon Hill

“A minute’s success pays the failure of years.” - Robert Browning

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you never, ever have enough.” - Oprah Winfrey (yes…Oprah)

“Gratitude is the attitude that changes everything.” - Unknown

“Gratitude is what starts the receiving process.” - Jim Rohn

“The same thinking that has led you to where you are is not going to lead you to where you want to go.” - Albert Einstein

“Reduce your plan to writing…the moment you complete this, you will have definitely given concrete form to the intangible desire.” - Napoleon Hill

“The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is to high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we hit it.” - Michelangelo

“If you want to HAVE more, you first must BECOME more.” - Jim Rohn

I have many, many more, but this post would be too long!

One of the personal qualities we should all focus on is the attitude of gratitude. Regardless of whatever negative emotions you may be experiencing,  you can always set your head right by expressing the tremendous gratitude you have for all the blessings in you life.

Thank you for being who you are, someone who seeks and works to be all you can be. I am grateful for you.

To your best year ever,

Ric Isaac

P.S. Celebrate tonight. Celebrate life, love, family
and friends. And then get to work tomorrow creating
everything you want and deserve.

P.P.S. Be inspired!
