FFP Member Of The Year Finalist Winner - Dirk Hansen

Well Hi Folks,

Have any of you had a dream.. a vision of how your life would be when you entered to the fitness industry?

I know I had and after 8 years, five in my own business, I was starting to think that maybe that dream was impossible. Well, imagine turning up for work for 20 years wondering when things were going to change and you would finally get your life back and have the success you desired!

Let me introduce to you Dirk Hansen, from Dirks Health in Bondi, Sydney. Dirk is a passionate trainer who really knows his stuff, hence he developed a good clientele of people who loved his service and the results he got but you know what? He didn’t have the business tools and techniques to really have a valuable asset and instead had a 70 hour a week JOB.

FFP Member Of The Year Finalist #4 - Clinton Thomas

Well Hi Folks,

I am very excited to be sharing this next video with you. If you need a shot of Inspiration then you will get it watching this.

Clinton Thomas from Vitality Health and Fitness in Hamilton, Victoria has certainly had a rollercoaster ride in his fitness career to say the least. Right from the start he had a vision of what he wanted to do but could not quite get there. His hours got longer, the stress got worse, and he was still not making any money.

Enter the Red Bible, Maximum Response Fitness Marketing, and suddenly he could see a light. Now Clinton is an action taker and as soon as got his hands on all of the strategies he started to implement like crazy. He is a smart guy because his next investment was in a sales system that could take him to the level of income he wanted and to be able to help more people…. the Auto Closer Sales System!

He also wanted more coaching and our support so he upgraded to our Gold Plus membership and started getting the template campaigns and the coaching he desired.

Clinton makes smart decision when they need to be made so once again he invested in the future and got involved in our Deep Core program and…. well you will hear the rest of the story.

FFP Member Of The Year Finalist #3 - Bianca Aiono

Hi folks,

Have we got a treat for you here!

Bianca Aiono from Exclusive PT in the Glasshouse Mountains Q.L.D, is another of our Finalists in the Fit For Profit Member of the Year contest and she really is a force to be reckoned with.
Bianca attended one of our seminars in Brisbane last year and was a little skeptical to say the least. Credit to her though, she took a leap of faith and invested in our Maximum Response Fitness Marketing pack and was blown away by how much great information was in there.

The trust was there so even though Bianca had been trained in ‘sales’ before she knew she needed something industry specific so she bought our Auto Closer Personal Training Sales System and that’s when everything exploded! As you will see in this video her sales figures and client numbers in her outdoor training business went ballistic, we are talking SERIOUS numbers.

FFP Member of the Year Finalist #2 - Laurie Maximilian

Laurie Maximilian from Betterlife Health and Wellness in Myaree, WA was our second Member of the Year Finalist. In just 18 months with his new PT Studio, and under Fit For Profit’s guidance, has achieved some AMAZING results!

FFP Member of the Year Finalist #1 - Joel Scutt

What an amazing time we all had at our Mega Training event two weekends ago.

People were blown away by our Member of the Year finalist so we thought we would share them with you. The first to present was Joel Scutt from All Sorts Fitness in New Farm, Brisbane. What an incredible ‘Rags to Riches’ story he is and although he was very nervous you can see how the last 12 months have completely changed his business, his income and his life. Well done Joel!


We will be sending out all five of the Finalists in the order they presented so look out for Laurie Maximilian’s presentation next. This has really raised the bar for all of us to see what can be done when we have the right attitude, a burning desire and the right tools and coaching.Have fun,

Huge Results From Body Challenge Contest

Every month Fit For Profit and NPE provide all VIP Members with a new marketing campaign or complete system.

Below is the model for pretty much everything you need to implement your own Body Challenge Contest.

It’s killer. The proof from NPE’s VIP Members…

“I currently have over 160 people enrolled in my body challenge and I still have 2 weeks before the kick off.  This campaign is a SERIOUS lead generator, and potential revenue monster.  I do intend on doing a boot camp format for these participants, but still a little overwhelmed on how to accommodate what will probably be 250+ participants (it hits front cover of local paper today!)”

We also just got word from another VIP Member in the Northeast that his body challenge launch generated 130 leads in a few weeks.

Other VIP Members are just getting their launches underway, so we’ll have lots more to report on this soon.

A body challenge contest is hardly a new concept. And that’s one of the reasons why we decided to create a system around it. It’s already proven. People want it. It resonates.

And if you sit down and do the work, you can probably create one yourself (if you haven’t already). It’s not rocket science.  It’s just work. Thoughtful work.

Here’s a list of some of the stuff you’ll need:

- A complete strategic system (the overall plan and how all the tactics and tools integrate)
- A great name for your challenge
- The offer (what do they get?)
- A website or landing page with compelling offer copy
- House list promotional tools
- Auto responder emails to keep your leads excited and to deliver pertinent details
- A promotional flyer/Free standing insert
- PR tools (like press release and PR “pitch” with strong hook)
- Mechanisms for making this go “viral”
- A fulfillment model (how will you deliver what they get?)

Those are the components we provide to our VIP Members. Just about everything’s done for them. It’s plug and play. Their job is to implement. The one thing we didn’t completely flesh out for them is the in-person fulfillment model. We provided a basic structure, but it’s up to them to fulfill according to what best suits their particular business.

Another piece that can make your challenge contest really strong (and also eliminate a great deal of the in-person fulfillment), is to provide a fitness and nutrition fulfillment system the challenge participants use on their own.

This way 80% of the fulfillment is done by the participant. You basically manage the project and are an expert resource who coaches and guides them in weekly group sessions.

We give our VIPs this tool. It’s an entire 12-week body transformation system (in e-book format) that is provided to each challenge participant.

We don’t leave out anything important. We cover all the bases, providing a complete system.

But there’s always some minor obstacles to figure out as you go along (as you can see from the VIP Member’s comments above about how to accommodate what could be 250+ people).

But that’s not really a bad “problem” to have, is it?

Kinda cool when you get 250+ people chomping at the bit to work with you.

Especially when it costs you next to nothing to generate all those leads.

This has all the makings of being a major home run. As you can see, the system is already rock solid - and we’ll fine tune it even more as we move forward.

And the timing couldn’t be better for rolling out a challenge right now. Keep that weight off during Winter.

The Secret To Selling Fitness.. (and Merry Christmas!)

SELLING IS EASY

(Excerpt from “Secret of Selling Anything” by Harry Browne - one of the greatest books ever written on sales)

Success in salesmanship depends upon factors quite different from the common conceptions. You don’t have to be a showman, an extrovert, forceful, flamboyant, domineering, tireless, single-minded, or even energetic.

But you do have to be sensitive, alert, imaginative, honest and a good listener.

If you look at the real world, just the way it is, you can see there are certain things you’ll have to recognise to succeed. None of these things is out of your reach. Let’s summarise them:

- You must recognise that every individual is already motivated. Every prospect has a multitude of hopes, aspirations, dreams, plans, goals and ideas. Don’t try to motivate him. Instead, discover his present motivation.

- Since every individual is different, there’s no way of knowing in advance what will make this prospect buy. Your job is to discover what it is that motivates this individual, and then offer your product/service in terms dictated by that motivation. The secret of salesmanship can be summed up in the simple rule: Find this prospects’s motivation and appeal to it.

- Never present your product/service until after you have discovered what motivates the prospect. There are literally hundreds of possible motivations to which your product/service might appeal. Don’t make the mistake of trying to outguess the prospect - it isn’t necessary. Wait until you’ve found out what he’d be willing to buy before trying to sell him anything.

- To increase your chances to make the sale, follow the five-step procedure:

1. Discover the prospect’s motivation. Ask leading questions that encourage the prospect to talk about those areas of his life or business that will reveal the motivations to which you can appeal. Take an interest in all relevant problems that face the prospect. He’s telling you how to make the sale.

2. Summarise the prospect’s motivation. Sum up the material presented to you in step one. Define the problem or summarise the objective so that you understand together what must be done to achieve his goals. In effect, you are confirming the qualifications you’ll have to meet to make the sale.

3. Present your solution. Now that you know what the prospect wants, you can present your product/service as the answer to that quest. Build your presentation around those matters (and only those matters) the buyer has said are important.

4. Answer questions. Handle any reservations or objections the prospect may have; make sure he fully understands the proposal and the way it will satisfy his motives. In handling objections, don’t try to overrule the prospect’s thinking. Instead, use the listen-agree-suggest technique.

5. Close the sale. You should never find yourself locked in a life-and-death struggle with the buyer when it comes time to close the sale. If you’ve done your job properly in the first four steps, you only have to encourage him now to do what he wants to do.

- Selling is easy if you don’t try to put anything over on the prospect. Think of yourself as a representative of the buyer as well as of your company. Look for motivations that will create a mutually profitable exchange between buyer and seller. Never think of yourself as someone who tries to “talk people into things.”

- Be honest at all times. Honesty is not a self-denying virtue. It’s on of the greatest assets a salesman can have. If you’re honest at all times, you can relax completely - knowing you have nothing to cover up. And your honesty will be recognised by many prospects who will then prefer to do business with you. In addition, there is an indefinable confidence that the honest person expresses that can never be impersonated fully.

- A salesperson’s field is communication. Your success depends upon your ability to understand your prospects and prescribe solutions to their problems. But the prospect’s solutions must be presented in terms that fit his motivations (not your motivations or opinions).

Most salespeople never learn that the essence of salesmanship is a two-way communication. Your success depends as much upon your ability to HEAR and UNDERSTAND as it does upon your ability to talk.

NPE’s Member Of The Year Contest - Part 3

You know everybody who’s ever worked as a fitness coach can relate to key ‘turning points’ you’ve witnessed in client’s lives that led to their health and fitness “breakthrough”. Generally it’s the point where they are fed up enough to say “I’m sick and tired, of being sick and tired” and then seek you out to make a change in their lives… once and for all.

Well that turning point is no different for fitness business owners than it is for their clients.

And today I’ve got a great story (and video) to share with you about NPE Member Mike Stare’s “turning point”.

As Mike shared his presentation for the Member of the Year Contest finals in Boston, Mike’s “turning point” was in October 2007 when his wife dropped by his office unexpectedly to let him know she was pregnant again with their second child.

Instead of being happy and excited, as Mike says he was “scared and worried about his damn business”.

He was working 60+ hrs/week, seeing clients 60% of his time, the other 40% seeing patients, and wasn’t spending any time working ON the business.

He was “a one man show”.

And not only was he stuck IN the business with his time, but he was stuck in a prison with the growth of his income.

He was collecting cash fees for each session when scheduling his clients next session, had no CC merchant account or EFT income, and his business was “stuck” at a meager $4-8K/month in revenue.

Mike made the comment that when first heard another NPE member talk about their businesses, and all the success they were having, he felt like a real loser.

But he wanted to make a change so he became a “Gold Member”… and as he says “quickly upgraded to Gold Plus, so I didn’t have to be a Gold member”. :)

Mike then went through our GOLD RUSH program, then next our DUPLICATOR Fitness Business Management program… and things really started to turn around.

He hired a part time admin assistant and a trainer.

Then soon a full time admin and another trainer.

He turned his Outlook contact list into a real database system with our ACT Database Management training program.

He raised his rates, committed to sending out a regular newsletter, and started implementing lead generation external marketing systems.

Put together several Strategic Alliances, and things started to really grow.

And right now he’s going through our DEEP CORE Fitness Marketing System program to crank that up even more.

Mike’s business (and his life) have completely changed.

His new schedule is training clients 10hrs/week, treating patients 10hrs/week, and 20hrs/week spent working ON the business.

His revenue is steady at $12-$14K/month and rising.

He’s DOUBLED the size of his database with over 700 contacts.

He has 3 trainers working for him, along with his full-time admin assistant.

He’s diversified his services to offer small group training in addition to private training.

He’s happy, built a solid foundation to build upon, and know’s exactly where he’s going.

It’s truly an amazing story.

NPE’s Member Of The Year Contest - Part 2

Today I’m sharing with you the second NPE Member of the Year Contest entry.

Shannon Willits is the owner of Pilates Sarasota, in Florida, USA and joined NPE back in February this year. And boy has she come a long way in that VERY short period of time!
